Indibet - Responsible Gaming

Indibet responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.

Play within your limits

Responsible gambling starts before you place a single bet. Decide in advance how much you can afford to lose, treat it like any other leisure spend, such as a movie ticket or a dinner out. A practical rule of thumb used by many players in India is to cap gambling at 5% of your monthly discretionary income. If you receive ₹50,000 a month after essential expenses, a ceiling of ₹2,500 for the entire month keeps gambling firmly in entertainment territory rather than financial risk territory.

Never gamble with money earmarked for rent, groceries, EMIs, or family commitments. Keep your Indibet wallet separate from your primary bank account by using a dedicated UPI ID on PhonePe or GPay with a hard balance cap. That physical separation makes overspending immediately visible. Take a break every 60 minutes using our built-in session reminder, and log out completely after each session so re-entering requires a conscious decision.

Warning signs of problem gambling

Problem gambling rarely appears overnight, it builds slowly. Key behavioural red flags include betting with higher stakes just to feel the same excitement, returning the following day to chase yesterday's losses, hiding account statements from family members, or borrowing money through apps like Slice or KreditBee specifically to fund deposits. Financial secrecy, such as deleting PhonePe or GPay transaction histories, is one of the most reliable early indicators that gambling has shifted from leisure to compulsion.

Emotional warning signs are equally important: feeling restless or irritable when you try to stop, gambling to escape stress or a low mood rather than for entertainment, and spending more than two hours a day thinking about upcoming bets. If three or more of these signs apply to you, act now. Use the limit tools described below or contact one of the support organisations listed at the bottom of this page before the behaviour escalates further.

Deposit, loss and time limits

Indibet provides three practical self-management controls you can activate directly from your account settings under Responsible Gaming. A deposit limit caps how much you can add to your wallet in a given 24-hour, 7-day, or 30-day window, for example, setting a monthly cap of ₹3,000 means no further deposits are accepted once that threshold is reached, regardless of payment method (UPI via BHIM, PhonePe, GPay, net banking, or card).

A loss limit works similarly but tracks net losses: once your losses hit the figure you set, betting is paused automatically for the rest of the period. A time limit restricts your daily session to a maximum number of hours and triggers a mandatory logout when that time expires.

All three limits take effect immediately when lowered. Increases, by contrast, are subject to a mandatory 48-hour cooling-off period, this deliberate friction prevents impulsive decisions made in the heat of a losing session. Review and adjust your limits monthly by visiting My Account → Responsible Gaming → Manage Limits.

Self-exclusion and cool-off

If limit-setting is not enough, Indibet offers two stronger options. A cool-off period blocks access to your account for a fixed duration, 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days, without permanently closing it. This suits players who feel they need a short break to regain perspective. A self-exclusion is a more serious commitment: your account is suspended for a minimum of six months, during which you cannot deposit, bet, or receive promotional communications. Reactivation after the exclusion period requires a manual review and a mandatory 24-hour waiting window, ensuring the decision is not reversed impulsively.

To activate either option, go to My Account → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion or contact our support team via live chat or email at [email protected]. If you have self-excluded on Indibet, we strongly recommend applying the same restriction on any other gambling platforms you use, as exclusion on one site does not automatically extend to others.
